One part of this is .........I'm 26 and I enjoy the Twilight Saga. I'm not a crazy obsessed fan (although my bf has brought me a Tshirt and an Edward "action figure"- but that was his choice not mine) but I really enjoyed the books and the first movie, the second movie not so much (I think mainly I had built it up so much in my mind that I was disappointed....... it also didn't help the cinema was filled with teenage girls screaming whenever Ed or Jacob came on.) I'm looking forward to Eclipse but I'm probably going to try and go to an 18+ viewing of it.
Well to get to my actual point of this post, there's this new spin off book, The Second Short Life of Bree Tanner.

I contemplated pre-ordering/buying it but thought about the cost and the fact that it's not really got the main Twilight characters in it, so couldn't be bothered, although I did keep checking to see if the price had gone down. Well anyway yesterday I discovered that you can read it online for FREE until the 5th of July. So that's what I've been doing, it's not a long book ... I think only 178 pages and I'm about 100 in so far. I'm super pleased I discovered it, as it cures my curiosity about the book and saves me some cash. So I thought I'd share this info with others who may also be curious (perhaps I'm the last to know!?!) but yes if you'd like to read the book for free, just click on the picture above and it will take you to the website!
Now I would also like to point out as a side note, that I believe my enjoyment of Twilight (and in fact most vampire films/programmes etc) stems from my love of the Buffy & Angel series. Yes I know it's "so like 10 years ago!" but I would still put them down as my favourite TV shows on a questionnaire hehe. My best friend and I loved those shows so much and often over a cocktail still discuss them.
Yes my green tea this morning was sipped from a Buffy mug - which originally had come with an Easter egg - thanks mum :)
Yes I brought the boxsets on vhs when they cost about £30 a go (that's 11 for Buffy and I think 11 for angel - that was a ton of money for a teenager that wasn't working).
Yes I own annuals, books, tshirt and even a bracelet I think.
I obviously no longer wear such things.......my Buffy tshirt did look delightful with my pink dog collar back in the day (CRINGE- remember it was 10 years ago!!!).
But yes I love me some Buffy and Angel, my love of those shows has lead me to like Twilight and True Blood (Can't wait for season 3!!!- and this is totally not teeny) I also have taken to watching Vampire Diaries which is bad....but good, I'm easily sucked (har-di-har) in!
I think the main reason for humiliating myself with that bit of info is that I'd like to point out I'm an "old school" teen vampire fan. It feels wrong to enjoy things at 26 that are aimed at 16 year olds, so to make myself feel better I know it all really started when I was 16, and the fact that I know I'm not alone; even if it's just me and my best friend that are old but still like the teen vampire silliness.
EDIT- I don't know how blogger works, but every time you edit a post and then click publish does it show in the blogger buzz again. I swear I checked this post like 5 times before publishing it, yet there were still errors, grr it bugs me. So sorry if this is in your feed like 5 times hehe!
