Weekend

Went to some charity shops this weekend which was nice. Although I didn't buy any tacky ornaments/random items, I did get some fun bits:

Some Star Wars vids, I haven't watched these since I was a kid. I wanted to give them a try now I'm older.

Some video nastys yay. Can never have to many tacky horrors.

Some Vinyl hilarity.

Today I also brought some random vegan friendly bath bits and also some yummy stuff from lush.

I currently cannot stop buying things online. It's getting out of hand. Just when I've nearly got all my packages I order more. Waiting now on like 10 things again. Oopsy. Perhaps I need to ban myself for at least a week.

Anyway I'm currently trying to enjoy the last of the weekend by watching Dollhouse Season 1 and hanging with my buns, might top it all of with a cheese toasty before the Sunday night blues kicks in.

My Weekend

My weekend has been pleasant. Saturday my bf and I went to a few charity shops. We seemed to have loads of bags but can't think what I brought all I remember is buying a few old VHS of 80s hair metal bands.

Today we went to the Horse Sanctuary again. They had another open day, so there was a cute table sale and home made cakes etc. We got vegan hot dogs, brought another 80s hair metal music video. Petted the horses. I really enjoy going there. We're only there for about an hour but it's fun. Plus there's dogs too, people bring them along and I'm a total goon for a pooch. I spied one last time that I wanted to steal and he was back again today hehe I got a sneaky spy picture of him. Before we were leaving I had a walk around to try and find him so I could stroke the pooch but didn't get a chance :( next time I will make contact hehe.

I start my job tomorrow. I am dreading it. I think at the moment I'm more getting into a mental flap about the bus there than the actual job. What I am hoping though is that this job although it's not a physical job will help me loose some of the weight that I've gained whilst I've been unemployed. So I'm going to weigh myself tomorrow and then fingers crossed next Monday there will be a positive change. I'll be eating hopefully less and my eating times will be more structured. Plus I'm going to make an effort to get back to eating more healthily again, as I've slipped a little off the wagon whilst I've been down. I'm also thinking about walking home rather than getting the bus. There's a 25 minute wait for the bus after work and then once I get off the bus my walk home, that will be a total of about 55 minutes, whereas if I walk directly home it will take about 40minutes. So I'm thinking bus there in the mornings (which will include 15min walk) and walk home. So that will be good bit of exercise for me. The place I'm going to work for has an on site gym, but the thought of working out with work colleagues doesn't thrill me.....we'll see maybe in time, or maybe I wont last longer than a day there anyway. Nervous nervous nervous!

So for the rest of the evening I'm just going to flap about with work related things. Wish me luck, I'll need it.

Bank Holiday Weekend

I hope everyone had a great weekend.

I wasn't in a great mood for most of it but it was OK. On Saturday my Bf and I went to a bootsale but it was raining so everyone was packing up, we then decided to go to some charity shops instead. I didn't get that much, just silly bits and pieces (tacky old VHS, 60s skirt pattern, dirty dancing workout DVD, old Incubus CD, This Is Spinal Tap movie book.) Whilst I'm talking about charity shop finds I brought this cute little trinket pot last weekend:
Sunday we went to a local shopping centre, had smoothies and then came home hehe.
Yesterday was just a relaxing day and I watched these 2 movies:
Wolfman for me personally was snooze worthy. I wanted to like it because of Benicio but I didn't. It might of helped if I had paid slightly more attention but that was hard to do. The movie was very slow and without a lot of action. On a positive note the scenery and colour tone of the movie was good.

The second movie we watched was Youth in Revolt. I enjoyed it, although not as much as I thought I would. Obviously I was drawn to it by Michael Cera - I am partial to a geek. This film did have quite a few Laugh Out Loud moments, and it kept me entertained throughout. I'll be buying this one............when it's in the sale hehe.

On a complete side note, there was a quote during Youth in Revolt by a small character called Lefty, he likes a girl but is going off on one about his paranoia on how their future relationship might fail, and he says this:
"we get married have a kid, but he's not good at anything and has no talents"
My point in mentioning that quote is that it's a fear of mine that I'm talentless. Sometimes I try and make myself feel better by thinking that everyone must have at least one talent. It may not be an obvious one (sport, singing, art, cooking, playing an instrument etc etc) but everyone has one. There must be so many things that someone could be talented at right!?!
I'm pretty average at most things. I'm not awful but I'm just not amazing either.
So my questions are:
Do you think everyone has a talent? and if so How can you discover it?

That was random right!?! :)

*Also I've turned off my feed so I can edit some older posts, I hope this worked. Let me know if it did/didn't, that way I'll know whether to bother editing any others.*

Where does a day go?

On polyvore again that's where.

Another fashion challenge over at WWEPW. Creating a look for Emma in the 90s. I struggled a bit with this one. I can never limit myself to just one outfit either. So once again here are my 2 looks for Emma in the 90s.

The first look is slightly inspired by My So Called Life.

This 2nd look is my preferred one I think. It's like a tame Willow from Buffy.

I'm not too pleased with what I've created but it's the best I can do, I've certainly put a lot of effort into it at least hehe.

On a personal note, my weekend was spent charity shopping on Saturday and a bootsale on Sunday, both whilst struggling majorly with a cold/hayfever. I was a total mess. Didn't get too much, although I did manage to get a KISS doll at the bootsale........what a coincidence. I also got a couple of bags, but I'm not sure if they're keepers yet.
My ebay addiction started to creep back up again this weekend too, I'm waiting on 3 packages now...oopsy!
