Shame shame

I saw The Expendables last night (it was fun) and it shamefully confirmed the fact that I may have the smallest............ teeny tiniest............ littlest crush on................ Mickey Rourke.

Yes I know it's wrong.

I guess I like his "swagger" for want of a better word. I like his cool quirky style.....although the casual cropped tshirt and jean look not so much, but then again he teams it with a tiny dog, which I find endearing and cute.

(Although this outfit is for a movie, its too good)

He occasionally wears specs.......... what can I say I'm totally shallow when it comes to thick black framed prescription geek specs.

Another embarrassing crush to add to the list.

If I was in SPvTW

This is what I'd look like....

Plus some black rimmed geek specs... but they didn't have any glasses I liked and also plus a couple of lbs hehe.

I love aps like this. I end up spending hours creating lots of different ones.

So many movies

...that are out or coming out soon that I want to see. Why does the cinema have to be so pricey!?!

Anyhoot here they are:
Seeing The Expendables Tuesday, I can't wait :)

Shock.... I'm not actually a Nic Cage fan but I kind of want to see this. It might be more of a download one than a cinema one.

CAN'T WAIT for this one!!!! So excited about seeing it.

This has been out a while now and I want to see it so badly. I'm hoping to make my bf go this weekend.

Steve Carrell = Hilarious! Paul Rudd = Hilarious & Cute! Win win!

I'm going to see this with my bestie and her hubby tonight :)

I love films and I love going to the cinema yay. Plus I still have about 8 DVDs to get around to watching from my recent online shopping spree. There isn't enough time in the day for all these movies!

EDIT- Didn't get to see Salt as it's Orange wednesday and was sold out :( oh well we had Pimms instead.

Weekend Goodies

So this weekend has been pleasant. I got my haircut (FINALLY) on Saturday and for the first time in at least 3 years I haven't left the hair dressers wanting to cry.
I'm pretty pleased with my new cut, my old mop of hair was draining the little confidence I had left.

I also had a wander around the shops a brought some bits:

This cute dress. The ribbon just comes like the first picture but I think I'll wear it as a bow, or I'll remove it and put a silk bow brooch there instead.

Some new blusher by Barry M

These nail polishes. I love mint green. Not sure when I'll wear it, but I couldn't resist.

My new shoes turned up. Loves them. They fit perfectly too. I always worry when I buy stuff online that they wont fit.

I've also watched a couple of fun movies:

I saw this at the cinema today. It wasn't anything amazing, but you get what you expect. I love Drew Barrymore, she's so cute and I'd pretty much watch whatever she was in. It was sweet, I'll more than likely buy it when it's out (and on sale).

I'm currently watching this. Which was one of the many that I brought the other day. I'm going to hopefully get through a couple more tonight.
This film is enjoyable so far.

I hope I haven't got too excited about it. I'm sure Sly wont let me down!

Sly, Schwarzenegger, Bruce and Rourke in one movie...it can only be good!
Oh also Cordelia from Buffy/Angel is in it.... fun times.

Can't wait!!!!

I just ordered this:

I'm so intrigued about becoming vegan. Thought it might be worth having a look through this. The only downside to it that I think I'll encounter is that it will not doubt only talk about American products. But it's worth a read. So I'm looking forward to that turning up in the post.

Also yesterday I ordered about 10 random DVDs online so looking forward to all those lovely packages!!! Plus I'm still waiting on a bunch of bits I brought from the veganstore.co.uk it's taking absolutely ages, it cost like £4ish for delivery and yet the website says allow up to 28 days!!! Le sigh!

Anyhoot I'm off to watch this :)

I cooked this for dinner Saturday.

I painted my nails with this lovely Barry M nail polish.

And I finally got round to watching this movie I brought a couple of weeks ago.

Why can't life be like the movies?

I wish I had a crazy scientist friend who had a time machine in the form of an awesome car.
I'd go back in time (break the rules) and give the younger me some advice. To study hard. I'm not naturally smart, but I'm sure if I'd have tried harder I could have done better.
Better in school, therefor better in college and then actually going to uni.

Or alternatively....
Travelling into the future and snagging one of these bad boys. Whoever says money doesn't buy you happiness, either hasn't brought the right stuff, or needs to go out and buy more hehe.

On a more serious not. My new job is making me feel like this:
I have this small brain that wishes it was something more.
I cannot stand working in an office, doing this meaningless bank related work.
It all seems so insignificant.
I know it sounds cheesy but I just wish I could have a job that meant something. I wish I had the brain capacity to do something better, or even just an idea of what I'd like to do so I could at least just try to do it.

Instead I have no idea what I'd like to do, no confidence that even if I did that I could actually do it, and a job that although I'm grateful to have doesn't give me any motivation to exist.

I feel frustrated by my own limitations!

SATC 2

I like most women appreciate a chick flick every now and then; so I was pretty excited to see SATC2. I had watched the show when it was on TV (I even own a few of the series on boxset) and I thoroughly enjoyed the first movie. I didn't really have any expectations for the 2nd one, I try and not read reviews before a film as whenever I do that I find out everything that happens and then it's ruined. So I went to the cinema with an open mind, although my own personal opinion was that I wasn't quite sure what exactly would be in this film as it was all nicely concluded in the first one.

The movie was enjoyable. It sticks to the usual SATC formula.......fashion/sex/humour etc etc and definitely kept me entertained the entire 145 minutes. However I walked away with a smile on my face but thinking what was the point?
As much as it was a good film and I'll probably buy it when its out on DVD, it really didn't seem like there was much of a story to tell in this movie. It feels like it was just a cash in on the first movies success.
The first 40minutes or so have no baring really on the rest of the movie and it seems certain parts were added in just so there were teaser pictures before the movies release e.g., the wedding- whose will it be!?! and Smith Jerrod- come on who's not a fan.

I don't want to go into the plot too much as I don't want to ruin it for anyone who hasn't seen it, so here's a brief overview of events:
A wedding
Marriage worries
Samantha has a business trip to Abu Dhabi and brings the girls along
Carrie bumps into an old flame
Samantha freaks out without her pills and potions
Charlotte and Miranda discuss the stresses of motherhood
Problems are resolved
Happy ending

I would recommend SATC2 it was funny and it's nice to have a girly night out, but I would say don't expect too much.
